Air Conditioning Component and Maintenance Checklist

HVAC is stand for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning and it are basically developed for us to the comfort from the environment in which you live and work. It means when the winter chilling us we use Heating Equipment to keep warm. Similarly when the summer hit us we use Air Conditioning to keep cool.
This is also important to on which you are going to invest. It means get details before getting investing in HVAC systems like Air Conditioning, Heating or any HVAC systems to your business apartment or residential.
Air conditioners use refrigeration to chill indoor air, taking advantage of a remarkable physical law: When a liquid converts to a gas (in a process called phase conversion), it absorbs heat. Air conditioners exploit this feature of phase conversion by forcing special chemical compounds to evaporate and condense over and over again in a closed system of coils.
Let’s consider about residential air conditioning working. Any Air conditioners whether it is residential or commercial it monitor and regulate the air temperature via a thermostat. They also have an on board filter that removes airborne particulates from the circulating air. Function of AC is as dehumidifier’s internal air. Because temperature is a key component of relative humidity, reducing the temperature of a volume of humid air causes it to release a portion of its moisture. That's why there are drains and moisture-collecting pans near or attached to air conditioners, and why air conditioners discharge water when they operate on humid days.
There are 4 major the major parts of an air conditioner manage refrigerant and move air in two directions: indoors and outside
  • Evaporator - Receives the liquid refrigerant
  • Condenser - Facilitates heat transfer
  • Expansion valve - regulates refrigerant flow into the evaporator
  • Compressor - A pump that pressurizes refrigerant
Evaporator and fan that blows air over the chilled coils and into the room, it placed inside of air condition (it is a side of air condition other side is Hot side). The hot side contains the compressor, condenser and another fan to vent hot air coming off the compressed refrigerant to the outdoors. Expansion valve is placed in between two sets of coils; it regulates the amount of compressed liquid refrigerant moving into the evaporator. Once in the evaporator, the refrigerant experiences a pressure drop, expands and changes back into a gas. The compressor is actually a large electric pump that pressurizes the refrigerant gas as part of the process of turning it back into a liquid. There are some additional sensors, timers and valves, but the evaporator, compressor, condenser and expansion valve are the main components of an air conditioner.

Basic Checklist for Air Conditioning Maintenance:
When you go to use air conditioning? Off course just after spring carnival that is at summer time.  When it isn't working correctly, you and your family are forced to suffer through the swelter of the summer when you should be comfortable in your own home if nowhere else.  But like any piece of machinery, especially one that works as hard as an air conditioner, keeping it finely tuned will help it to remain problem free.

Following are the basic checklist:
  1. Check the filters and indoor coil
Remove the air filters and clean them. To do this, spray the filters on both sides with any of kitchen antiseptic spray and then rinse well with warm water.
If you have a ductless air conditioner, you will also be able to see the heat exchanging coil behind where the filters are located. Ensure this is not clogged with dirt or covered in hairs, If it is, give it a gentle vacuum with the brush attachment in the same direction that the aluminum fins run.
    2.  Clean the coil and air outlets on the outdoor unit
Check the obstacles of outer side air conditioning unit such as weeds and dead leaves; remove them to get better air flow. Also wipe down the air outlet on the front of the system.
          3.  Check for good air flow from both indoor and outdoor units
Ensure you have plenty of airflow from the indoor unit. Poor airflow is a good indicator of a blocked coil or failing fan motor. If your air conditioner is struggling to output a reasonable amount of air, it may be time to book it in for a Professional Air Conditioning Repairing Service Provider in Tampa
          4. Check for signs of rust or corrosion
If your air conditioner is starting to rust or show signs of corrosion, you will want to stop it progressing as early as possible. Minor rust caused from scratches etc can simply be painted over with a waterproof steel paint. Major rust or corrosion will require a professional to service the equipment as the system will usually require stripping down for the required repairs.
         5. Check and clean the Duct
Duct cleaning is also plays vital role in flowing the air to reach. Duct may be obstacle in air flow.

  1. With proper maintenance, you could make use of your air conditioner system longer. You just have to check your electrical appliances regularly to be sure that you would not be having any problems, most especially when it comes to energy consumption.
